Alpha Geoscience was established in 1997 to offer high sensitivity geophysical tools and expertise to clients in near surface targets.  These include environmental industry, the ordnance clearance market, the mineral exploration and the engineering market, as an alternative to intrusive investigations.

Alpha Geoscience provides the following areas of expertise:

  • Geophysical Instrument Sales, Services and Rental
  • Geophysical Data Acquisition, Processing and Reporting
  • Geophysical Consulting for all geophysical targets

Alpha Geoscience is based in Sydney Australia and is capable of mobilising to any part of the world with very short notice.  We have experience in operations throughout Australia, North America, Europe and South East Asia.

Staff

Since its formation, Alpha Geoscience has been building a staff of qualified and trained geophysical personnel for the Alpha Geoscience business.

Alpha has been able to provide impartial professional consultancy services to a wide range of clients, and draws on the wide practical operational experience and technical knowledge of its operational staff, as well as the use of state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.

Timothy Pippett is backed up by a number of geophysicists, technical and support staff to offer the most suitable service.  Staff members have qualifications both in first aid and where explosives are required, relevant licences.

Alpha’s technical staff includes:

Timothy Pippett
Managing Director
B.AppSc., Dip.Bus., RP.Geo.

Tim has 34 years of experience in all aspects of geophysics in mining, exploration, environmental, UXO and engineering, during this period. Over the last 10 years, he has specialised in the management of Consulting/Contracting businesses in the Geophysical and UXO fields, working in Australia, South East Asia, Europe and North America. He has also been, up until 2010, the Managing Director of BACTEC SE Asia, a UXO / EOD contracting company in Australia and Asia.

Safety

Safety is of paramount importance in all of Alpha’s activities.  Commercial considerations never take precedence over safety.  SOP’s are essential and are tailored in advance for each task to be undertaken, and are updated as new situations arise.

Quality Assurance

All geophysical procedures are developed so that the highest standards of professional delivery and safety are met.  Alpha is seeking ISO 9001:2008 accreditation in the near future.

This also involves the monitoring of quality management systems and operational procedures before, during and after the project.
