Resistivity (Geometrics)

OhmMapper

The new Geometrics OhmMapper is a capacitive coupled resistivity meter that measures the electrical properties of rocks and soil without cumbersome ground stakes used in traditional resistivity surveys. A simple coaxial-cable array with transmitter and receiver sections is pulled along the ground either by a single person or attached to an all-terrain vehicle. Data collection is many times faster than systems using conventional DC resistivity.

Features:

  • Full dipole-dipole resistivity profile can be done in a fraction of the time taken for traditional resistivity measurement.
  • Operates over frozen ground, ice, concrete, and other areas where grounded dipole measurements are difficult to make.
  • Data is logged to Geometrics DataMapper logging console for easy tracking and positioning of resistivity data.
  • Post acquisition processing is facilitated with Geometrics DataMap software for editing of data, positioning of data, and creating output compatible with third-party mapping and processing software.

Terraloc

Terraloc is a compact and complete seismograph with all you need to collect your seismic data in single casing.  Just add geophones, cable and power.  To allow for your most stringent environmental demands, Terraloc is housed in a rugged die-cast Aluminium casing to ensure highest performance and reliability wherever you go.  Rain, heat, dust, sleet or snow? Not to worry. Your Terraloc can be operated anywhere, anytime.  

Key features of the Terraloc are not only reliability and field worthiness but also to offer you a powerful seismograph that has advantages as:

Magnetic Susceptibility Meter (ZH Instruments)

The SM-30 is a small magnetic susceptibility meter.  Thanks to the high sensitivity, it can measure sediments and rocks with extremely low level of magnetic susceptibility.  In addition, it can distinctly measure diamagnetic materials like limestone, quartz and also water.

The SM-30 is controlled by three push buttons. One of them serves to save up to 250 measured values into non-volatile memory and to recall them later.  The SM-30 has a beeper indicating intervals in which the information from the rock is picked-up.

The SM-30 is powered from two coin sized lithium batteries (CR2430).  If the instruments are not used too extensively, the batteries may last for years thanks to their low self-discharge.
